The day started off, well, wrong. My phone is my alarm and I heard it go off but let it ring because if I don’t dismiss it, it will snooze itself. I thought, “I’ll get up the next time it goes off.” For some reason, it didn’t snooze, but dismissed itself instead. Nathan woke me … Continue reading Showering in the dark

Pogi, king of boxes
I am not a fan of moving. I am a fan of our new house though. I can't wait to finally be moved in. Pogi helped me with boxing much of today. He followed me around all day. I suppose that's helping. What should I do with him tomorrow when the movers show up?
Quality car seat time
The blog has been a bit forgotten with busy busy busy work, running around outside for the last of our warm days, packing box after box after box, and getting things done at the new house like painting. We will eventually move in. We will sleep in our new rooms. We will watch the sunset … Continue reading Quality car seat time

Condo Dwellers No More
It is done. We no longer own a condo. We handed over the keys, I took one last picture of what we'd once called home, and moved on. I lived there for over five years. That's a serious relationship, people. We had our ups and downs, the condo and I. In the beginning, we were … Continue reading Condo Dwellers No More
Condo For Sale
It's been MY home for over 5 years, Nathan's home with me for almost 3, and Dom's for just about 10 months. Last night, though, we put our home out on the market to see if somebody else wants to call it home. It was a LOT of work to get to this. I had … Continue reading Condo For Sale
It’s Pouring
I know that these problems are fleeting, but for posterity, I'm going to list them here so I can always remember how much fun life is sometimes: We have problems with my car, a hose broken, it's making noises, not sure what it is, but so excited to take it in and find out. Dom … Continue reading It’s Pouring
Last Night’s Break In
Nathan installed a home security for us after 5 of our neighbors had break-ins and 1 was an attempted break-in. Hooray for security, right? It means that we can save money and no longer have to send Pogi to Attack Cat School. (Thanks to Randy for helping us get the equipment.) So with our set … Continue reading Last Night’s Break In
Nothing Like Burglaries To Bring The Neighborhood Together
Monday night, we went swimming at the DeLaMare’s. They used to be our next door neighbors growing up. And they were some of the best neighbors. One example: after a wind storm blew over the old fence in between our backyards, we all rebuilt a new one together. The new fence included a door so … Continue reading Nothing Like Burglaries To Bring The Neighborhood Together
The Dishonest Tow Truck Driver
His teeth were crooked, yellow and stained from smoking. He had ugly earrings in both his ears that stuck out from under his beanie. I managed to stop staring at his teeth by looking down at his hands-he probably hadn't cleaned under his nails in years. I would never want to eat a sandwich made … Continue reading The Dishonest Tow Truck Driver
